I stopped by the
3.1 Phillip Lim Sample Sale midday yesterday and the 40 minute wait was well worth it because there was an abundance of great merchandise, that was moving fast! Designer Phillip Lim was working the room and model Tao Okamoto was helping to put clothes back on the rack. I even overheard Phillip Lim tell a woman that she looked great in a dress and suggested that she wear it with leggings for a young, hip look. The items range from $30 for swimwear and underwear, $50 tees, dresses from $150 to $300. Shoes were priced at $100 a pair, which is an excellent deal, but there wasn't too much left. All proceeds go to the American Red Cross Japan Relief Fund, so you should check it out too and if you're lucky, maybe get some styling advice from the designer himself!
